Health Care South Sudan is a UK based charity established by clinical and administrative professionals with first hand experience of working in the country. It is an entirely voluntary organisation whose founders have extensive experience in building and equipping clinics, supporting the training of health care staff and the provision of basic health care to communities in South Sudan.
On Sunday 5 April 2020, South Sudan reported its first diagnosed case of Covid-19. Continuing to work closely with our partners on the ground and wider contacts in the country, we’re supporting the call for a coordinated global response that can help to support fragile states like South Sudan. We continue to follow WHO data closely to keep updated and are assessing what we may be able to do to urgently support primary health care at this time.
