Dr Christina Lucas (UK Medical Adviser)
Practising GP and educator Christina has 40 years broad based experience in health care in the UK and Australia. Trained in London and South Wales and currently resident in Wales with an active role in an innovative nurse led inner city primary care practice as GP and Associate Clinical Teacher for Imperial College. Extended clinical experience in women’s health, mental health and substance misuse, oncology and palliative care.
An inspiring three month elective to Tanzania as a student stimulated a life long interest and passion for supporting projects in the developing world. Closer to home Christina has been a long term volunteer with a Welsh based charity providing support and holidays for children with special needs. She is delighted to have the opportunity to bring her experience and skills to the medical advisory group with SSHC.
